Directions

The easiest way to arrive at the conference venue is by train or car/taxi.  NEWI is a short walk from Wrexham General train station and we have adequate parking for any delegates bringing their own transport (although please let us know in advance so that we can arrange passes).

Arriving at Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is served by its own train station so the options are:

  • Take a taxi directly to Wrexham from the airport.  This is the simplest solution but will cost in the region of £40 and it is recommended that you agree a price with the driver before starting the journey

  • Take the train to Wrexham General.  Depending on the time of day, this may involve change(s) at Crewe or/and Chester or Manchester Piccadilly/Shotton/Chester.  This is a cheaper (about £15) but slightly less straightforward solution (Train details: http://www.thetrainline.com)

  • Take a coach to Wrexham.  This will probably be the cheapest solution but tickets will have to be booked in advance.   (Coach details: http://www.nationalexpress.com

Arriving at Liverpool Airport

This is the slightly tricky one!  Liverpool Airport is not served by its own train station.  The options are:

  • Take a taxi directly to Wrexham from the airport.  This is the simplest solution but will cost in the region of £40 and it is recommended that you agree a price with the driver before starting the journey

  • There is a regular bus service from the airport to Liverpool bus or train stations.  From there you can take a bus or train (about £11) to Wrexham.  There is a train change at Hooton.  This is the cheaper but less straightforward solution.  (Train details: http://www.thetrainline.com)

By Rail from London

It is fairly easy to get from London to Wrexham on the train but will involve a change somewhere (eg Birmingham) depending on which airport you fly into.  The easiest way, once you know your flight details, is to book tickets at
http://www.thetrainline.com and let the system work out the journey for you.

Arriving by Car

(Our post code is LL11 2AW for anyone using auto-direction software.)

StreetMap/MultiMap

From the south, take the M54 west, A5 north west and A483 north to Wrexham.  From the north, take the M56 west, M53 south (Chester) and the A483 south to Wrexham.

Leave the A483 at the Wrexham junction (J5) and take the 'Wrexham' exit from the main roundabout.  You instantly come to another roundabout.  Go straight across (second exit, 'Town Centre') and NEWI is immediately on your left.  Park in the front car park and report to main reception.  (Please remember to inform us in advance if you intend to bring your own car so that we can arrange parking passes for you.)
